In May 2015, Hedge Funds Care Asia (HFC Asia) held its inaugural annual benefit gala at the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, with the aim of raising funds to prevent child abuse across Asia. This invitation-only event saw the attendance of over 220 elite guests from the hedge fund and investment banking sector in Hong Kong.

Tickets were priced at USD1200 per head and various high-end sponsored auction items were under the hammer for auction. On the table from K-Line was a premium all-inclusive Himalayan powder quest at the Gulmarg Mountain Resort, proudly supported by Jet Airways and Khyber Himalayan Resort and Spa.

Our auction item had the distinction of generating the highest winning bid of the night, raising over USD 11,000. As a tribute to our collective Himalayan heritage and presence in India, the proceeds have been donated towards earthquake relief efforts for children in Nepal.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, HFC Asia is the newest affiliate of global charity Hedge Funds Care (HFC). HFC was founded 16 years ago in New York and is now an international nonprofit organisation. HFC has 13 branches in Canada, the US, the Cayman Islands, the UK and Hong Kong, funding over 100 community organisations worldwide and distributing $3.5 million in grants annually.
